I know they are not the best quality sound but I am looking for a way to play my iPod through my stock stereo. I need something that is inexpensive as I would rather spend the money on my new tires. Does anyone have any suggestions of brands or am I looking in the wrong direction? Thanks for your time! |

Belkin (or similar) FM transmitter - I've got one I use to get various audio into my stereo system. I don't have an MP3 player but I use it so I can listen to my radio scanner when I'm watching the planes fly in and out of Sky Harbor... |

I had one by Monster. It was the clearest one I had heard. |

I have one for Monster as well... It works great but the channel selected needs to be clear [i.e. no radio signal on 88.1 / 88.3 (transmitting) / 88.5] to sound the best. After a couple years, I've switched over to the USA-spec iPod adaptor and threw the transmitter in the wifes car. |

I ended up with a DLO Transdock Micro FM Transmitter. The sound is great. It has 5 programmable radio stations so you can flip between them easily when you enter or exit new radio ranges. For the price it is a good product and I am very happy with it. Thanks to all that responded to this thread. |

The "best" one I ever tried was a Monster Cable one, but I still only give it 3/5 stars. The signal and sound was strong, but the music sounded distorted. Its really worth it just to put a little extra money away to direct connect it (like buying an aftermarket stereo with Aux inputs, etc). |
