Their are really only two spots I can think of.
1) In the middle of the windshield, above the A/C vent.
2) On the left hand lower corner to the left of the tweeter on the windshield.

Where did you install your GPS unit? Pictures say everything.

Just above A/C vent, using suction cup holder stuck to windshield with long arm, holding my Pocket PC Axim handheld with GPS receiver attached to it with tri-state maps pre loaded, rest of them on the CD.
Maps are beginning to get outdated, but for general "know-where-you-are" they are great.

On the left for me. I had it in the center but it seemed to obstruct my vision more and the wires bugged me. The power now goes down the left side of the instruments and behind the knee bolster where I have installed a new receptacle.

Just above the center vents, used some velcro to hold the Garmin mount in place. Once the GPS has a good signal I flip the antenna so it points down (I have a Garmin GPS-V) and it doesn't obstruct anything.
