Dashboard Lights

Anyone else have their gauge backlight going out? I had one go out behind my tach 2 months ago and didnt feel like ripping it apart to try and fix it. Now about 2 days ago the backlight behind my Coolant Temp gauge went out and I can barely see the temp at night :evil:

Anyone able to tell me or link me to where I can fix these darn things myself?

LED's are much better than incandescent bulbs especially when they are hard to get to!

kj4me do you know what type of led bulbs to buy and how many are needed to replace all the ones in speedo /tacho pod?

If you know the p/n for some LED replacements, that would be even better. I'll just replace em all.

this would b something that would have to be experimented with since no one actually manufactures a kit like this. rush 345 knows the part number for the incandescent bulbs and from that i could get info on size and watts (the LED's would probably need a resistor) to replace the bulbs with. hmmm, i may just have to rip my instrument cluster apart. plus the LED's would b brighter and since they have a longer service life, you wouldnt have to worry about em blowing out again.
