Ok so I get up this morning and walk outside to go to the store, and my 05 Liberty that I just purchased less than 2 weeks ago won't start......

When I put the key in the ignition and turn it over, it goes click click click click, and the dash lights blink off and on...

I tried to jump it off with my wifes car, but it does the same thing..

Anyone ever heard of this?

Battery most likely died on you,try replacing it.Worst case the starter soliniod went on the starter but some of the newer KJ's seem to have battery problems.

Exactly what it is. I tried jumping it off.. And it didnt work, so I decided to just let it sit there and charge for a second with the other car of course running... Started right up. So I drove around for a while, then came back.. Now I just went back out to try and see if its ok.. And dead again.

So I am going to get a new battery.

Yeah I am very relieved that's for sure. My wife was going crazy, thinking it was a crankshaft sensor or the starter as she looked it up on the internet.

Thank goodness it was only the battery.. Just didn't think it was since all the lights/equipment worked fine, no dimming etc, and when I tried to turn it over it didn't even try and start.

I had the same thing happen on my old Astro van the day we were going on a long trip. Went out and loaded up the van with all our stuff, get the kids and everybody loaded in and turn the key....nothing :x Everybody back out and I am off to WalMart for a battery. Changed the battery ands all was good! Dang thing never, ever had a problem before that day so I just figured it was some bad karma coming back to haunt me.

Lots of dead battery reports right now (in the spring time).. I wonder what this winter will hold for more dead battery stories?
