Short answer is yes. The length also has a play in this but you are ok at least up to 25' with 10ga wire.

10ga yes but depends on your length and what you are running. If you are running 20ft at 25 amps constant then I would suggest 8ga minimum.

10 gauge/25 feet/ 30 amps you will lose 1.54 volts to resistance.

8 gauge /25 feet/ 30 amps you lose .96 volts.
