Post subject:  help with back-up lights...

i can not figure out what is wrong with my back-up lights.
i have checked all of my wire connections, and the lights are wired straight to the battery.
my front 500 lights are wired to the battery and nothing is wrong with them.
so what should i do>??

Some more information would help. Are you using a relay? Is it tied into the stock back up lights for switching or do you switch manually? Did you check your fuse?

Checked your ground? Again I cannot beat home the idea of haveing a Power Probe in the tool box. It makes trouble shooting so much easier. Jsut don't loan it out, they never come back. Much easier than using a multimeter.

no relay, no fuse (actually what fuse), have checked my grounding, and grounded it on another spot just to make sure, manual switch, not wired into stockers...

There can only be 2 things, no power or no ground. You have power to the light? Ground tot he light? Have you checked the bulb?

Got a volt meter? Have you checked for power at the lights?

If you dont have a fuse then please add one. Dont want to see a post about how your Jeep burnt to the ground.

Any bolt you can get free, they should all be a good grounding point. Always cover the ground point with a coating of some sort to prevent oxidation.
