Post pics if you can, I will post once I get everything in.
(starting from factory with blown front speaker)
I just ordered this:
130DEHP500 Pioneer DEH-P5000UB CD Receiver
1086022SI Infinity Reference 6022si 6-1/2"/6-3/4" Shallow 2-way Speakers Front and Rear

Considering an Infinity Basslink...anybody used one? I had (1) RFosgate punch stage 3 and a 200watt RF amp brdiged in my last jeep, and I just dont need that level of bass this time around...

yeah, one of my previous roommates had one that he ran in bridged mode to drive a 10" in his GTI. I found this one on ebay for $20 and spent $8 to fix it. The main reason I got this amp is because it could fit it under the driver's seat....even fabbed up some brackets to mount it. It really makes the component speakers come alive.

hey there. Are you planning on getting any amps for the speakers or will they be powered by the receiver?
I always thought about upgrading my speakers, but never had the guts since I was not sure if the STOCK AMPS in the premium setup were more or less powerful than my Kenwood head unit.. I just didn't want to end up with weaker sound if there was a difference.. but could never find out what the stock amp specs were.. so I stuck with the stock setup, with only a ** kenwood HU because I didn't want the hassle of hooking up new amps, etc..

well, got he unit installed....WHAT A PAIN!!!

I had the infinity system with crossovers and didnt konw that before i started.

It was a wiring nightmare, but not tooo bad i guess...just took alot of trial and error.

anyway, anyone need my old stuff. factory head unit, both rears, one front (drivers side) The passenger side speaker is blown, but the crossover is fine.

lemme know.

pics of the new rig coming...i love my pioneer head unit...the way it controls my ipod is awesome...i dont konw how i lived without having my ipod in there. it also takes USB keys!
