Hello Everyone.

I have a 2003 liberty. I have a converter towing harness that was installed and was working perfectly. Recently, the left turn signal stopped working on the trailer. I checked the grounds on the trailer and they are good. I tripple checked the ground on the liberty and it's solid.

I have an LED tester so when I connect it to the liberty harness it shows the turn signal to be flashing but as soon as I plug the trailer in, then the left blinker does not work. All the other lights work perfectly.

When I hit the breaks and the left turn signal then it works fine.

Somehow I only loose the left turn signal when connected to the jeep.

Any ideas ?

I should also mention that when I hook up the trailer to a battery directly then all the lights work perfectly.

Now thats a tricky problem.

Switch the left and right turn signals at the trailer and see if it still happens.

If it still doesnt work on the left side of the trailer(given its hooked up to the right turn signal on the jeep) than its got to be something on the trailer.

If the left turn signal works on the trailer but the right turn signal on the trailer doesnt work then its a problem on the Jeep(probably the problem).

What brand harness do you have on the Jeep?
