Ok, so my Hella's aren't working and I am getting a bit frustrated. I've checked the wiring. I've got power to the little black box. Fuse is good. Power going to each light. So you'd think bulb, right? Each bulb looks good. Could the bulbs blow but still be intact with blackening around them? Any help would be appreciated. thanks |

is the ground to the lights still good? if you explain how you are testing it, I can try to troubleshoot with you... -Sean |

It is possible for the bulb filaments to open without the flash of metal that would darken the glass, but to have both lights do it seems a bit of a stretch. As Sean mentioned more info might help determine what is going on. |

I am testing power with just little roach clip style clamp on one end and pointy end that lights up. It lights up at the power end of the relay. It light ups where the relay goes out to the lights. It lights up right at the lights themselves. I am clipping to the ground of lights. I did have some corrosion at the main power (from the battery) but I cleaned that. The bulbs themselves look brand new. Now blackening, filiment still intact. |

forgot to post a follow up. I turned out my ground went bad. I just rewired it to a better ground. In the process, I also burned out the relay somehow. Anyway, regrounded and new relay and they now work fine... |
