I'm looking at CB antenna mounting options and thinking of tucking a mounting bracket in around the plastic of the rear light cluster, something like this:


Has anyone done something similar and is the sheetmetal inside the light recesses strong enough for this kind of mount?

I am pretty sure peeps on here have done it. I use a Dodge Ram bracket with a large bolt through an existing hole in the driver side fender.

I used the same mount. Its been on the KJ now for over 4 years and no problems. I will try and dig up some pictures of it
