I am looking at CB's for trail rides. I like the idea of just using a hand held for this purpose since there is no install and I can just stow it with the rest of my off road gear when I am not on the trail. I have also looked at the units that basically have the controls mounted in the mike. I don't know much about CB's (had a Cobra in my truck in the 70's). I am not opposed to mounting an antenna, but I like the idea of a magnetic mount for the same reasons as above. What are the pro's and con's of a hand held and "full sized" units? |

Cobra 75 WX/ST greatest CB to ever be made. compact and form fitting to the hand. has all your channels,(thru 40) and weather stations. just get it and you won't be disappointed! |

That looks like a cool little unit. What kind of antenna does it use? That might be the option I go for once I actually do it. |

That would be my radio of choice (for the KJ) as well. But with a 4' FireFly ant. |

Thanks for the feedback! That's the one I was looking at actually. Glad to hear its a good unit. How about antenna mounting locations? Does it matter if you tune it right? |
