| Post subject: | Getting through firewall |
G'day guys, I'm currently installing a cb and need to know how to run coax and power through the firewall. The antenna is going to be Bullbar mounted. ( Can't mount on rear spare due to big plastic cover and Reg plate) What I want to know is; do you guys actually drill through the firewall or is there an easier way? Anyone got a link to a picture of how the wiring comes through and how they seal or grommet the area? Thanks!! |

Factory firewall penetrations can be found on either side of the cabin, up behind the dash on the outer edges of the firewall panel. Here is a write-up on the Liberty wiki pages about how to find them. Good luck! Oh, and remember that your 'drivers side' and 'passenger side' terms are reversed from up here in the states, but there is still one on each side. When looking in the engine bay best to think of them as 'battery side' and 'airbox side' since those are noted in the supplied pictures. |
