I don't have much luck with replies in Electronics so I'm posting it here. Who makes the factory system? For those who have pulled their factory head units, what are you using now? |

I think the stock is Infinity. I know the speakers are. They have Infinity on the back of them. I upgraded to the JVC KD-AVX44 El Kameleon, KT-HD300 HD tuner, back up camera, and steering wheel control kit. It works really well with the Liberty. Just make sure you get the steering wheel controls or you will hate it. I hooked up a micro hard drive in the glove compartment to it. It's so nice to have thousands of songs riding along with you. |

I have the alpine 9886 and I love this thing, through crutchfield easy install and great service, they give you all the wiring harnesses free (thanks for jeepkj.com for leading me there to begin with) I prefer alpine for my head unit, but look around on this site, and call if you need, they can recommend what will work best for you (they didn't try to just pawn of something more expensive than what i needed or wanted) http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500CDA9884/Alpine-CDA-9884.html?tp=5684&wm=cl or the more expensive version recommended if you'll be running an amp of any kind http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500CDA9886/Alpine-CDA-9886.html?tp=5684 Both are cheaper and better than just replacing stock, stock radios have i believe a 5watt RMS, and like 30peak. And unless you buy used their about 400-500 bucks.... go figure. I'd recommend getting a hold of crutchfield. |
