| Post subject: | 06 Renegade Fog Lights |
Somebody broke off one of my stock 06 KJ Renegade fog lamps. It seems like a single replacement from the dealer is approx. $70. Does anybody have any experience or recommendations with this? The stock replacement is easy because the mount is easily accessible. With that said, the stock fog lamps are completely plastic and cheap. I am assuming if I completely back out the factory mounting bolt that there is a loose nut insert in the bumper? Any help would be appreciated. |

There is a nut welded to a bracket underneath.. Back out the bolt and you can remove the broken piece without worrying. You may need to remove the bumper (or maybe just grille) to put the new light on. Whole set here cheap ($85.00): http://www.wyckoffchryslerparts.com/jeeplibfogli.html Select 9627. Then you will have a couple spare parts, too, for only a little more than the dealer charges for one light. |

I took the broken mount out and it does appear that ordering replacement lamps is going to be much easier then trying to retrofit an aftermarket lamp. Thanks |
