Im a big fan of Alpine and Infinity, but they arent cheap.

$104.99-10" Infinity Sub
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 0392384210

$94.99- Infinity 6.5" Speaker
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp ... 6234894507

thats what I would do if I didnt want to pay for the Alpine and then a sub of your choice

they look like they would be pretty good. you also might want to go into Best Buy and listen to some of the speakers to see if you like them or not.

I would start looking tomorrow and see what deals there are. I heard Circuit City was closing a few stores and you might be able to score some stuff from there on the cheap. Cash speaks well in store closings.

I got these for my rear doors and they sound awesome. Would sound even better with more power going to them (they're rated 75w RMS)

I just added a10" Infinity Basslink Sub/Amp combo. It was super easy to install and adds a lot of deep bass. Not going to rattle your teeth out or shatter the glass, But does hit pretty hard.

Sony and/or Kenwood Speakers, Pioneer and/or Sony Amps. Best budget setup.

i got a site for you

www.audioque.com

They are a competition brand (mostly subs and mono amps)

You can get a 12" sub for $130 (around $155 shipped)

And by far the best Amp I have ever had for the money is their 1200D Amp, comes with a control knob to make them give out more power to subs, and they are by far much more powerful than Alpine or Rockford Fosgate that are around $500 bucks

Just give the site a look

The subs I would get for a liberty would be Street Duty 2.5 series
