| Post subject: | Winter Antenna Reminder |
While driving to work today in the freezing rain of central Maryland it occured to me that I had no winterized my stereo or ham radio antennas. How to do this...just put some cooking oil on a paper towel and wipe you antennas. The oil make the moisture roll off and keep your antennas from becoming icicles. I thought my stereo antenna would snap off once I was able to go 60 - 65 mph. Make sure your antennas are dry before you do this. |

That's a creative idea! But I didn't have any cooking oil, so I used bacon grease, and now the birds won't leave me alone. |

I can't lay claim to this tip. I can't remember where/when I read it. |
