I was thinking about getting one of those cirkit boss wiring blocks for all my add on accessories. Is it worth it to manage all the wiring versus just adding them all to my OEM fuse panel etc.... |

I like using the fuse block myself. Easier than monkey'ing with the factory stuff. I liked Bussmann 15602 series. Unfortunately I bought two from the 15600 series before I ever saw the 02's. It has 4 to 16 fuses, per side, in combinations from 8 to 20 total. I'd use one side for "accessory" wiring, and one for direct battery myself. http://www.cooperbussmann.com/pdf/78aaf07e-0968-4117-b859-debf78288325.pdf |

when i add a 2nd radio after i get licensed, i'll be adding a block, or whenever i add more lights i'll add a block whichever occurs first i'm already at 2 add-a-fuses which work fine but they of course have their limits i used an add a fuse ontop of my existing fuse spot for the 12v power socket in the back to power my am/ssb and it's got a bit of dirt in the power i'd def go with a power block right to the battery with a filter inline and then stick another filter between the power block and your ham at the least those high freq rigs are very susceptable to line noise, it's a bit of work initially to get your block wired in, but just think, after it's in, you've got a pretty painless and very CLEAN way to wire your accessories |

7-CIRCUIT AUXILIARY FUSE BLOCK #70107 - 3 constant-hot and 4 ignition-hot circuits. Uses one 30 amp relay. 7-CIRCUIT AUXILIARY FUSE BLOCK #70117 - 7 ignition-hot circuits. Uses two 40 amp relays. So which one would be the way to go as far as the two different options? it will be for my 2 radios CB/HAM and all my lights and eventually other add ons later |

i personally would go with 3 constant and 4 ignition so that i could wire in certain things to be used without bothering with the key the radios would be among those things so with that you could have 3 radios whether your jeep was ignition on or not, and 4 ignition on's for lights and whatever i'm not one to ask about the whole amperage thing, 30A is more than plenty for radios which are like 4A draws i guess it depends on how many gigantic lights you plan to run otherwise a double 40A would be better, but i'm sure theres another similar box with double 40's that have some of the slots on constant? |

I have two auxiliary fuse panels mounted on the indside of the dash panel under the steering wheel for all my auxiliary acessories. They run directly off the battery and are therefore always 'hot'. I haven't had a need for anything that runs only when the ignition switch is on. You can see photos of my setup in the 'mods' link in my sig line. John ];') |
