Install CB Coax T6/T7 Connector

Bought some firering cable and the end that screws into the cb does not have the coax connector attached. The connector was supplied - just not attached. Anyone know how to install a t6/t7 connector onto coax cable?

That's it ? What about the black bushing ?

Does doing that give an ok signal ? what about the copper jacket :?:

looks like a horror

my firering coax came with one of those mini-UHF ends that screws into the PL-259 which reduces any body hole down to 7/16th which isn't much bigger than the coax itself

im solder-tarded i always end up screaming and flailing when I have to solder anything that matters

just for reference my coax was this:

If you can take it apart easily you might heat the center conductor and wick some solder into it - called 'tinning' and it will help with getting the solder to adhere when you go to solder it inside the tip of the connector. If there are some holes in the connector body where the outer copper shield shows thru you might add some solder there as well, although it may take a bit to get it hot enough to let the solder flow since the briaded copper in the shield makes an excellent heat sink
