I just got a Sirius radio and need to find a good mounting location. I have and 04 Renny that has roof lights and from time to time a roof rack to deal with, so there is not that much roof top space to deal with.

Any ideas?

The antenna will work sitting on the dash board, but was just a quick fix and looks like crap.

Thanks

I saw that ealier, but I am worried that the roof rack will interfere with the signal. IF it doesnt, that seems like the best place for it.

How did you fish the wire through to front.

There is a hole behind the 3rd brake light that provides access to the gap between the roof and the headliner. I fished the wire in there and then ran it along the trim on the passenger side up to the front of the jeep. The wire had about 12 inches slack left when I was done.

I had mine in about the same spot. After getting my rack it would cut in and out more often. I moved the antenna over about 2 inches and noticed a huge improvement.

Well,

I ended up putting the antenna back there and routing it in about the same spot as you have it. Looks pretty good there and easy enought to install.

Now I am looking to hard wire the radios power source since there is only one outlet in the front and I have a DVD for the kids, cell phone, etc to plug in.

Thanks

Go get one of these:

Then you just wire that into the power wire and neg wire from your wiring harness feeding the radio. Plug the power source into your new outlet and stuff it all behind the dash. Done.

I found out everything I needed to know when I did mine at xmfan.com.

I wonder if Sirius has a chat board like that too.
