My subscription is about to end and this is what they are offering:

1 year $142.45 ($11.87 per month)
2 year $245.00 ($10.21 per month)
3 year $349.00 ($9.70 per month)

I usually play the game of canceling and they offer $4.00 per month. But I’m getting tired of hassling with them every 4 months. Has anyone negotiated a multi-year price with them?

I do the one year plan every year in July but they have been taking it in 2 payments one month apart. so seventy some dollars each payment. if you ask..... they seemed flexable to me.

I just pay full price and enjoy!

It's a lot better than listening to all the crap on the radio here in Toronto these days.

I have to agree it is way better to just pay and enjoy than hear all that crap on FM these days..... too many ads, too many stupid DJ's, too many contests I never win anyhow and too many ads... did I mention those loud annoying ads. How I hate that! Then there is the selection of music... pop stations that only have 20 songs they know how to play... easy listening/soft rock with too much chatter..... Rap/hip-hop :vomit: and classic rock and country which I like with too much comercial time and chatter. I would bet that you can't hear 40 minutes of music per hour on most FM stations anytime but maybe overnight.

I would rather pay and have a choice of what to hear and know its worth hearing. sure the DJ's talk on Sirius but about the music or artists then play it.

I subscribe to Sirius and love it. :D Runs me about $140 for the year. I admit the music got a bit worse since the merger with XM but it's still better than listening to lots of advertisements on regular FM radio. I have no idea who still listens to that garbage. I'd rather pull out my radio than listen to the crappy DJ's and crappy music and did I mention the crappy ads!

It sounds like most everyone is paying the full price. Every time I call and cancel, XM always drops the price to keep me, but the reduced price is usually good for only 4 months or so. Does anyone pay for two services? I have SIRIUS in both my truck and Jeep. Plus, I have my XM boom box at home. We mainly listen to Talk Radio, Country Music, and Christian stations. I love my coast-to-coast show, but I usually have to streamlink it because it’s on so late. I just download the shows onto the iPod. But I agree with everyone, it's hard to go back to AM/FM.

I have noticed that the songs they have been playing on 14 & 15 tend to be ones I know but were not played as often before. It's allmost like someone said here is a list play these 100 or some songs most of the time. still its better than FM. unlike the Steely Dan song FM don't treat you well these days.

I am glad the DJ's are mostly the same, especially the nice lady Dusty Street at the Rock and roll hall of fame who I met there and the old MTV vJ's from the 80's on 80's on 8.

My Favorite stations are clasic vinyl, classic rewind, The Highway, 80's, 90's, the Pulse, and Margeratiaville, sometimes I will listen to Howard 100 or the BBC News or comedy if I get bored with music. Nothing Beats Sateilte radio when you go on a trip and never have to hunt for a good station in a strange town. I have listened to Classic vinyl from Cleveland Ohio to home never changing it once.

Besides the benefit of driving a long distance without searching for another station I like the selection. I guess we all pay about the same amount from the looks of it. My taste in music is fairly broad: old country, classic rock, blues, all Elvis channel, some classical, bluegrass, Jimmy Buffet, Jazz & folk. Then I try not to miss "Click & Clack" on public radio! Funny stuff there! Speaking of funny stuff I also listen to: Raw Dog, Blue Collar and the other I don't remember what it's called.

I listen to a lot of Outlaw Country because they play music by artists that you wouldn’t here on secular radio. There are a lot of newer artists that play some of that good honky tonk, rockabilly, alternative, twangin', western swing, backwoods Appalachian hillbilly stuff. 8) :-)r  :CAMPING:

I loved having XM when I spent a couple years driving over-the-road. I love using my iPod but I miss the non-music variety on the satellite radio. You've inspired me, I think I'll shop for a set-up when i get back state-side.

I've had XM Radio for the past two years and I love the fact that I can listen to the same station for hours without going out of range. I do sometimes find it like satellite TV, there may be 125 channels but there's nothing good to listen to.

The last renewal cost me $186 in Cdn funds. ($15.50/month)

The commercial free song channels are great but boy they sure put a lot on the comedy channels. I love the jokes I hear but half of them I can't repeat outside my car

I use to do the same thing, every time my subscription was up i would tell them i would like to cancel, either the would offer the half price service right there or mail a flyer advertising half price and i would get a yrs service for half off. That was all back when i was in highschool pinching pennies. I know have three radios on my account 2 w/lifetime the only way to go in my opinion and a yearly account for my dads oem xm. Since the merger they no longer offer a very good multiple radio discount like before. Plus with the lifetime its the full package, no paying additional each month for this or that. By the way it works the same from both sides 1 lifetime account is xm and the other is sirius.

I pay $0. When Sirius first went on-line, they sent free tuners out to certain influential companies of which I was part of.

I got another invitation in the mail with two options: $4.99 per month for 6 months or $6.48 per month for 12 months. I went with the 12 month deal. I’d shoot for the lifetime subscription, but I’m not ready to drop the coin. But I'm glad to have it back again.

I had the free six months in my new Jetta so I put my previous subscription on hold. Te free trial is up and I get two calls a day from them trying to get me to renew. Got the half off letter in the mail so I am going to see if I can get the Jetta and liberty on that offer.

They offered me 3 radios for #160 for one year. I declined and I think I am getting 3 for 3 months for $70 with XM.

Same here.. Weve had sirius for 4 years and haven't paid a dime. We weren't invited though, just got around paying for it. :)

I'm the third owner, second owner says he never paid a dime, same for me, I love Sirius and have yet to pay anything. Is it possible to trasfer my free account to another head unit if I upgrade? any thoughts? I don't know how Sirius works...

Post subject:  Re: How much are you paying per month for XM/SIRIUS radio?

^ you used to be able to do that transfer, as long as you're the original owner. usually once it changes names on the account, you cannot transfer it anymore. I used to sell Sirius & XM when they first came out... the lifetime subscription was an awesome deal back then. also, as reps... we got free accounts for our cars!! that was nice. but when i stopped working there, i canned my account. didn't feel like paying for radio.

my friend pays for sirius and likes it, but like deisalenthusiast said, he keeps getting good offers to stay with them. he'll drop them for a month when it runs out, then he'll get a call, or he'll call them and ask for deal. works to his advantage every time over the past 4yrs or so!
