I love my Uniden 510 XL Pro, right channel radio has a full kit with mounting bracket, 4' firestik antenna, and all the necessary wiring for $119.95, the even threw in a SWR meter for free! |

I like the Midland 1001LWX. Its Small, can be mounted between the center console and the passenger seat and has Weather, something thats really nice to have. This is not the Midland in the picture below, but it will fit in the same spot using a easily made bent metal bracket around the stock mounting bracket. ![]()

I have a Midland 75-822 like in the link. Works good for trail rides as is and you can always get a mag mount antennae for more range on the highway if you want. Not as good as a hardwired one as far as distance goes but fine for me. http://cgi.ebay.com/Midland-75-822-Handheld-Portable-Micro-CB-Radio-NEW-/380337112557?pt=US_CB_Radios&hash=item588ddbc5ed (note that I am not promoting this e-bay seller but just using the link for info) Just another option.

I ahve the above radio and the Cobra hide away unit. The Cobra is way better than the Midland above. Unless I am a 1/4 mile from a CB'er it does not pick up anything. OK it does do very well on NOAA. |
