My front door speaker blew (the foam ring degraded and ripped), and I had it repaired by a local repair shop. The cost was $26.75, which was much cheaper than buying a new speaker with amp from the dealer.

The repair shop was:

The Stereo Workshop, Inc.

P.O. Box 415
Clifton Park, NY 12065

Didn't even think about looking into a repair shop...I had just "snotted" mine up with hot glue before I just splurged and got new speakers lol.

I tried the hot glue repair, but it did not work for me. The foam ring separated again almost instantly.

Going to an aftermarket speaker would require mounting the amp (front door speakers) to the door and then fabricating a jumper (or extending the wires) to reach from the amp to the new speaker. In the long run that is probably a better fix, but it seemed easier to just repair the old speaker.

It would have been nice if Jeep had designed this with easily replaceable aftermarket speakers.
