I was just looking for a decent backup light and found a link to Northern Tool and Equipment:
55W $10 @ http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_352681_352681 and while I was looking, it seems that they have some 100W Offroad lights:
100W $10 @ http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_350960_350960 They don't come with wiring or anything, which is fine with me, since I was going to roll my own anyway (relay, switch, and wire). Anybody have any thoughts on these particular lights? I was set on the pair I saw at Harbor frieght, but I like the 7" round lights much better than the oval lights they have for $17/pair. |

All I can say is, go for the brightest you can get. at least if you have tinted rear window/dimming mirrors. I'm thinking of replacing my PAR36's with the 55w Hella floods. The PAR36's are okay but nothing spectacular. Some high power fogs, say Hella 500 with high power bulbs might be effective. What looks okay outside is really attenuated by those windows and mirrors. |
