Between a sale, a Mopar rebate, and some dealer dollar certificates I have, the Mopar amp/ sub woofer 82206957 gets to be downright cheap. Has anyone installed one? Happy with it? I don't know much about audio products.

Thanks

It by no means makes glass shake, but I feel it was worth the money for the sound difference and the small amount of space it takes up. It's an easy install too. Remove one screw by cubby by the lighter space and pull to get the plastic/bezel off then add the wire. I think the hardest part was trying to get the stereo wire, sub wire and my Sirius wire all tucked back in enough to put the bezel back on.

The ease of install was the draw for me; along with not losing any cargo area with a sub box. Getting the wires back in with the changer cable, xm radio sub and RB1 was a chore, but it was the only hangup of the entire install. Run the harness down the center console, out a hole in the carpet to the amp under the seat. You don't even have to remove the entire drivers seat, i loosened all three bolts, slid the wedge/amp in and boted it back down.

I didn't need (nor want) my windows to shake either, just a little more bass. I also had the stock sport speakers at the time, and they definately needed some help. If that is what you are looking for, a bit more power and base, you should be happy with it; especially if you are getting significant discounts. I've since put in the infinty speakers in the door and the dash, and the system as a whole sounds much better. I wish i knew about the adjustment knobs before i put it in, i have a hard time getting to them while the seat is bolted down.
