tweeter buzz

Well, now that i've upgraded my sound system from the factory unit to an Alpine HU and Polk speakers, i seem to be getting some tweeter buzz from the front left tweeter. It did this with the Sony that i had before the Alpine, but i can't remember hearing it with the stock unit. It only happens after i stop, like at a light or something, and then will continue after i start moving for about 1 minute or so, and it isn't really consistent. I'm still using the factory wiring, but the Polk components came with crossovers, and the rears are just a standard 2-way speaker (Polk). Any thoughts on what could be causing the issue?

is it a buzz or is it noise from the alternator(whine)? Make sure you hava a good Ground, the factory ground isn't really good

i'm actually not quite sure, i haven't witnessed it with the vehicle off, which indicates alternator noise, but it's only intermittent when the vehicle is on. What's the best way to improve the ground? any pics of your setup? Also, what's the best way to eliminate the alternator noise (if that is the issue)?

I ran my ground from the radio down behind the kick panel on the drivers sideand upgraded my battery ground(added another lead to the fender) There are a few pics of my battery/ground upgrades on the carstereo.com link in my sig. They also make inline noise filters if you are using an amp. I still have a very little bit of noise but not enough to really care. I had my noise with the factory radio as well.

Nope, not yet, i just haven't had the time, but i've got some spare 10ga. wire lying around, so i might try to upgrade the stereo ground with that. As for the battery ground, what do i require for that, should i just take out the whole black lead and replace it with a 0ga. cable? Also, i'm getting some bad FM reception on my new Alpine unit, i've heard that this is a common issue, but i've also heard that it can result from improper grounding. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot for the follow-up, i really appreciate your help.
