I was driving by the University of Utah yesterday and finally saw another CRD. It was a limited, silver, with a crome grill. It has been one year since I bought mine and this is the first one I've seen on the road.

It took me 5 months to see another one. And so far, I've seen her twice. A black sport CRD with the same female driving it.

Must be close to 10 running around this town now, I see a neighbor (retired HS teacher) has bought one for their camping trips.

Here in the Indianapolis area we have at least 4 that are in L.O.S.T. (INDYCRD, ALLJEEP, DZL_LOU, TIRED_OLD_DAVE). I have see a couple more recently.

Just came back from a visit to a friends house on the other side of town from me, and I saw 2 CRD's on the trip back.

ok So far ive have never seen another one in Dallas... however, Even the dealer is having a hard time telling which one i have... its not the limited nor sport... I was tolled by the last dealer i asked that its a "Trail Rated" CRD which is neather of the above. Is this true?

this is what i have and dont have..

the grille is the same color as the jeep, no driving/fog lights eather
full sun roof (opens all the way)
6 disk changer with sat radio
as far as the 4x4 goes it has 2x; 4x4 part; 4x4 full time; 4 low
power everything
grey fenders on a green body...

Help!!

Sounds like an early loaded Sport CRD to me. You left out the netural position by the way.

Our CRD has Trail Rated emblem on the left fender.

thats what i was thinking... as i only have one badge on the driver 1/4 panel. but there is no other marking on it except 4x4 on the right tail gate and CRD on the left.

Just saw another on the road in Chesapeake, VA today. It took 6 months to see another. I know there are 2 other L.O.S.T. members in the area, I guess we live in opposite ends of the area. This one was an Inferno Red Limited.

What is the proper etiquette when seeing another CRD? I know Porsche, Vette etc drivers wave at each other with some secret wave. Are we supposed to flash our stack of TSBs and work orders as a badge of honor?

Yep, they've got it right. Grey flares=Sport, newer 4x4=Trail Rated. They didn't do anything or test anything differently from the earlier years to be rated, they just started putting the badges on all 4x4's. And yep, the only marking for 4x4 is on the rear tailgate, unless you're an 02, then you're on the rear side pillar on both sides.

"Flashing work orders..."
