I'm only coming up on 4k, but I've had the transmission TSB's done - ECM and TCM Flash and filters, cooler return line, etc ... completed. I have a slight shudder in the 53 - 54 mph range, but since the two Transmission TSB's, either I notice it less or it happens less. Also after the re-programming of the TSB and ECM, is it possible that the TC can be engaging a little later that before? Previously it seems it locked up around 56, 57, 58 mph and now not until 60, 62 mph. Anyone notice this who has recently had the flashes done?
Oh - back to the original topic - no other problems (so far) ... knock on wood.
I think endurance and capacity and tolerances (of the transmission more-so than the motor) may also play a role in reliability and problems. Those of us who drive our CRD's more like cars (no or minimal off-roading, hauling people more-so than trailers, etc ... ) may be straining the transmission and TC less vs. regular heavy cargo hauling and lots of extreme off-roading.
I know, I know, it's a Jeep, you're supposed to be able to do that stuff with it - but it's a transmission and TC in the Jeep that comes out of Dodge Trucks and not originally designed for this Jeep's specific mechanical setup. Maybe a poll on the issue to compare results?

Just shy of 10 months on my '05 CRD Sport and no problems.
I had ECM and TCM reflashed per TSB per my request and I had the transmission oil return filter TSB performed per my request, both at 8,000 miles. Preventative maintenance only.
I'm at 13,800 miles now and just got my best mileage yesterday of just over 25mpg and I've had oversized tires and a 2" lift kit on since new.
I get the ghost shudder occasionally.
Ditto here. Funny, I just quoted you on another thread. No problems other than I can't keep the miles off of it. I'm at 13,500 right now and might try to park it and drive our other vehicle for a few months to keep the mileage in check.
