Diesel handles are green in WA, ID and OR. I've never seen yellow in my life, even when traveling outside the NW....

Diesel handles are green in colorado too, gas is black. In England they are the exact opposite, so driving a diesel Focus took some paying attention. E85 nozzles are yellow, I've never seen it on a diesel pump.

Yep green handles here too. Never seen a yellow one gas is black unless you go to BP then they are all green.

Good point about the diesel fuel cans...they have always been yellow. And it seems like E85 is going with Yellow as a marker for it too??? I guess they are just keeping us on our feet with this one.

I think the yellow handles in WI are actually for the cheese pumps.

Here in VA, Diesel is green, dead-dino gas is black, E(insert number here) corny-gas is yellow, and Bio-diesel is too hard to find for there to be a standardized color handle.

Yes, my gasoline containers are red and my diesel container is yellow.

I hope, when they change to the universal standard of yellow diesel handles, that they do it en masse. I don't want one or two stations to have yellow diesel handles and green gassy handles and the other ones bakards.

Might have to start takin some Focusin before filling up!

Ditto for Ohio :o But the universal standard for diesel is the dirtiest one

I might be going way out on a limb here but I GOTTA ask...so what kind of special favors and groveling occur from the wifey when she almost ruins your new engine?!?! LOL. Favorite dinners for a month? Backrubs for a year? I won't even get into the "special" things, but use your imagination.  LOL

sorry I couldn't resisit. conversely, what would the wife do to us if we filled her new $2000 Duet washing machine with Quickrete instead of soap? We'd probably all be sleeping on the couch for 6 months with all "privelages" denied.

I'm putting the incident in the bank as I'm sure I'll need it soon for some transgression. The thing is, she drives the CRD almost exclusively and we've had diesel cars for at least the last 20 years. This was her first time mis-fueling any of them. It may be senility.

I had been driving her CRD to work while I was changing the timing belt on my TDI. So for about 2 weeks she had been driving a gasser pickup. Because of this she claims she was out the diesel fueling habit.

That's how it works, somehow it's the man fault. :? Now if you didn't make her drive that gasser, that wouldn't had happen, I can hear all the way over here.
