On a outside chanch you might check with a jeep dealer to see if the previous owner got a extended warranty that for a fee could be transfered to you

The price is relevant to where you buy it. It seems to be worth more in areas like the Pacific Northwest. It is pretty rare-- so acutal resale values are harder to determine than a gasser. Another thing that changes the resale value is the price of diesel related to gas, which causes lots of price fluctuations.

The real thing to worry about is was it worth it to you? If you wanted a CRD, were willing to pay $15,500 and that was the best one available at that price, then it was worth it.

Oh i am definately ok with paying that price, just checkin if that was a good deal or not - i have been known to pay too much for something that i thought was a good deal.
The sale isn't final and if several peeps here told me it was a little high, i may try to nagotiate it but i am comfortable with that price.

My 06 CRD Limited books at $17,500. Sounds like your are getting a decent deal.

It seems like a good price...I'd pay $15k to get another CRD if it was in the budget...but it depends on the condition of the Jeep.

How scratched up is the belly? Has this thing been abused off-road?

Has this thing been trashed? Or is in immaculate shape?

Have you done a CARFAX report?

How many times has it been in the shop in it's short life?

If the truck is in good-to-excellent shape and is not a lemon (hasn't been to the dealer 37 times), it's definitely worth $15k.
