For the 06's, some aspects of the ESP are disabled when we put them in 4-low. The system will still monitor to prevent rollover and stability issues. However, the traction control part is actually disabled to allow wheel spin. If wheeling in 4-high, the traction control part can be disabled by the button. I suppose the 06's have a bit of protection since the computer reduces engine power in conjunction with applying selective braking.

...sorry Tim. Good luck in fixing your rig.

Somehow I doubt if you have a rollover condition in 4wl that actuating the brakes is going to make much of a difference :)

 Yeah, no kidding. If it hadn't have been late last night, I may have cleverly pointed that out as you did. There is also something in the owner's manual that in effect states that the system isn't going to overcome the laws of physics...I remember chuckling when I saw that. Indeed, given that the "speed limit" is 25 mph when you're in low range, and if you're about to rollover...well, you've got bigger problems than the computer can solve.

First off, you guys are great! Inc saved the day. Parts are on the way to my front door.
My bad for not checking the For Sale section here first. You guys had to point that out to me.

Now y’all better pay attention here as it is just a matter of when, not how, before you break your front diff. Don’t be whining. Just bookmark some of this and remember what I had to go through.

From what I found, AMC4X4 has brand spanky new ones for $440.00 + tax here in Glendale, AZ. 1-800-882-5337
http://www.amc4X4.com

Most of the other junk yards were thieves.

Another good one to bookmark is:
http://www.woodfins.com
They are back in Virginia somewhere and they wanted $225.00 + $25 shipping. Not bad.
At least I should be up and running before the weekend. Yee hawwww.
