see I knew the glow plugs did something

Your point of of ignition is when the fuel is injected into the combustion chamber, your pump is "timed" like a old distributer on carbed gas engines.
Real diesels don't have glowplugs.

But since i have some extra time, here we go anyway.
Point of ignition and start of injection are 2 different things.(see link below)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cetane_numberAnd to back up my point of why its not such a good idea to do alk injection is here.
http://killerbeeperformance.com/downloa ... Diesel.pdfSee the chart on page 5 and look at the temps regarding the location of the piston in the cylinder with only 100deg intake temp and no boost. With that said the auto ignition point of methanol is 878*F. It throws a rather large UNCONTROLLED variable into the tuning mix since many things can change intake and cylinder temps.
I actually just found a good example from another forum that is talking about propane, and since that just got tossed into the convo i figured i would add this in. I think it fits since both meth and pane are fuels. This is NOT mine its from PSN.
http://www.powerstrokenation.com/forums ... ostcount=7Oh, and yeah it really looks like "old distributor"

That is a screen shot of my desktop just a few minutes ago of my powerstroke tune
I personally would rather be spraying nitrous into my diesel than propane or meth, but thats just me.
And as far as i know our pump is not timed it just pressurizes the fuel rail.
