I really have not had any trouble with mine, and I run it hard, though it is mainly all highway miles. That is why I have been considering something else lately, again. It runs good currently, and has no problems. I cannot financially afford a breakdown right now which is why I was even considering it. The issue is that there is nothing out there that I like that gets as good of fuel mileage and is as capable in my price range. The only thing I need to do on my Jeep asap is the timing belt, but I don't have the money right now.

Hi, I just want to set the record straight. I don't/didn't want offend any of the Jeep enthusiasts here. I have owned three Jeeps and have driven over 600,000 miles in them combined, The CRD was the most fun to own, mainly to see people running in my direction yelling, "HEY BUDDY THAT'S DIESEL!!" I would calmy smile and say, "well, yes this Jeep is a diesel". I had a number of conversations and engine show and tells while at the pump. Likely, all of you have experienced this too. The bottom line for me is I drive to trade shows and to see vendors my need for something that pulls my trailer, starts and runs as needed prompted me to move along. I used to work on cars, but I don't have that kind of time these days. My wife will need a new car in a year or so and we are talking about the new Mazda diesel or a VW, time will tell. The new Toyota is fine, no one blinked an eye today while I filled it up with gas, oh well times change. I wish you all well with your rigs. Be Well Jeep Fans.
