Seems to me it rotates pretty easily/smoothly but I don't recall wanting to spin if you tried to make it do so. However that's a pretty old memory.

Thanks for the answer.

Will check it out further :)

If that's 1/8" side to side play on the front turbo fan (what you see when you pull the airbox to turbo hose) that's way too much. If fact it sounds like enough for the fins to scrape the inside of the housing and probably explains your oil loss.

And do NOT run it anymore until turbo is replaced. On these, when the turbo goes, the motor often follows in seconds.

Step 2

Well Got the new Turbo Charger in.

Double checked everything during each part of the assembly.

Checked oil and coolant level.

Started no issues and no oil leaks pressure can be felt when accelerating.

Then part way letting it run it went to about to the 1/4 from cold on the temperature gauge and the oil light came on :(

Not sure if it is the oil sender or pump will get a oil pressure tester in the next 2 days.

There has been cases of the pressure sender acting up when engine gets hot in other threads I hope that is all it is.

Thanks for all that have replied to this :)

Step 3 on this.

Ordered a Oil pressure test gauge. Should be in tomorrow. I will hook it up and watch the oil pressure. Though it maybe the sender I want to make sure.

On another note cleaned up the old turbo. It has about 1/8 inch play side to side. I ran a air gun to the exhaust manifold port spun it up and there was no scraping sound at all. I was expecting some noise but there was none.

Will keep you all posted :)

Step 4

Removed oil pressure sensor there was oil on the connection side.

Put test gauge on it and started went to 65 psi and crept down to 30 at 1/4 temperature gauge then stayed steady this is were the oil light would come on with sensor attached.

So going to order a new sensor and add a gauge soon after :)

Happy trails again :JEEPIN:
