CRD - Crappy Rebuilt Dodge, Constant Repairs Daily

Gawd, the way this thread is going, any visitors will think these beasts really ARE a piece of crap!

All in jest, mine has been relatively trouble free compared to others.

There's one guy at work who's always a self-proclaimed expert on whatever the topic of conversation is (seems like there's always one in every organization). He was bragging about recently buying a six speed 3.7 gasser Liberty, saying that it had so much more power and was quicker off the line than the CRD he'd tried. I laughed like h###. I told him "Bring it on, big guy! Unless you're Mario Andretti, by the time you get that sucker crammed into 4th gear the only thing you''ll see of mine will be a set of tail lights and a cloud of soot! Those four Italian squirrels under my hood are big suckers that used to work for the Mafia, they'll beat the crap out of your six puny American hamsters and then give them a deal they can't refuse!". In a very rare occurrence, he just clammed up and walked away. It was definitely a good night at work.

My kids name all of our vehicles, My old truck was Taz, hence my user name. My Wife's SUV is Clifford, my kids are 5 and 7 so the cartoon characters are understandable. The Jeep is simply TURBO.

Mine is named Bronson. I've started an odd tradition of naming my cars after baseball players I have particular sentimental attachment to for one reason or another. I particularly liked Bronson Arroyo during the year the Red Sox won the WS (have been a fan of his since he was in Triple A, actually). When I was in Boston for the victory parade, he happened to drive out of Fenway when I was right there, so I climbed up on his Hummer H2 and got him to sign my shirt. Bronson Arroyo, incidentally, is named for Charles Bronson, who is the lead in my alltime favorite movie, Once Upon a Time in the West ... so the name has a double appropriateness.

Aren't you glad you asked?
