Pardopn my interruption, but has anyone deleted the OEM muffler and replaced it with a glass pack? Curious if it'd give a mileage boost and a sound mod as well.*

Glass packs have been discussed here a few years ago and the consences was they were worse then the original. Some including Web master Darby have replaced the muffler with a stright pipe and like the results.

Thanks Joe. That is good information to know. Looks like I'm putting the kabosh on that little idea, then...

I run a glasspack on mine. No complaints. Dyno numbers were impressive.

here is the vid.

i think we all can agree that even with no traction this is a quick little crd, like most others with a hot tune.

That thing definitely looks quick.

I have the GDE Hot tune and now the straight pipe and I seriously can't keep the rear wheels from spinning. And I'm running some seriously wide rubber (275's on 20's). But, I pretty much sold on installing an aftermarket muffler. It sounds too "woofy" when I mash the go pedal.

I really wish I would have dyno'd it at stock, then GDE, then GDE + straight pipe. All I have to go on is "feel".

Dude, your truck looks sick! i never would have guessed a kj done in a sport set up would look that kool.

I did mine a couple of ways.
Ultimately I found 3" stainless angles online at some racing club site to go over the axle.
The cat gut was questionable because of the smell, no measurable performance gains.
I did a Magnaflow 3" muffler but it is still a little loud for my quiet tastes.
I do love the sound turbo spooling up though.

Thanks man!

I decided to take the CRD on more of a street build after realizing on my last diesel that I'm a highway princess. Can't lie. My version of Offroad is 5 minutes of gravel before I reach the trailhead.

I like diesels for torque and rediculous performance gains.

I'd like to find a proper after market intake to complete the trifecta (ECU, exhuast, intake) and then figure out what I want to do with gauges. I'm still contemplating where to put them, what housing design to go with, and even what boost presure range (0-15 or 0-30). Maybe an HID conversion for the fog lights. It never ends does it 8) ?
