I think that you are refering to the filter beside the airbox. The one in the drawing is in a different location.

No, I have not checked yet. How can the ECM have a WIF code and not illuminate the dash light?

The WIF light is seperate from the CEL. If it were burnt out it would not light up. I'm not saying that it does have water in the fuel for sure, but I would deffinitly get a sample from the fuel filter drain just to be certain that the fuel was not contaminated.

I assumed, perhaps mistakenly, that there is only one WIF sensor, at the base of the fuel filter. Thinking about it now, if there were just a small amount of water that momentarily tripped it, the ECM may log it without latching on the dash light. I would not expect that to be the case, but who really knows....

These are all out of the book, yea sideways but if you look at them
boost pressure solenoid filter.
Right now, My dog turned my coke over on my keyboard so I have

My backside is perfectly clean for now :wink:

and you are likely right that the filter mentioned is the boost filter. The drawing makes it look like it is in the same vicinity as the EGR setup. It might just my rusty old eyes though because I can't make out your photos of the service records either. I have not been able to get under my wife's tractor tonight to check for ghost filters but I will try this weekend. I hope that your keyboard is ok.

(Charge Air Ducting and Boost
Pressure Control
Both the boost and intake pressures are
used to control the wastegate of the
turbocharger. These pressure signals are
supplied to the ECM, which then sends
a pulse-width modulated signal to the
Wastegate Bypass Regulator Valve N75. As
a result N75 controls vacuum supply to the
Pressure Unit, which directly acts on the
wastegate via a connecting rod. This control
system regulates the turbine speed and
sets the maximum boost pressure.
If the control system fails, the
boost pressure acts directly on
the pressure unit. The increased
spring pressure reduces maximum
boost down to minimum boost.)

This particular article deals with the VW turbo. I have yet to find
any positives on the kj. But I am assuming systems are similar.
So that little solenoid with the filter hanging down, looks to me like
it is very important to our system for boost or underboost.
