It's run T6 5-40 for the 10,000 I've had it. It was pretty gunky. Not blocked, but well coated on the elbow, intake manifold, and intake runners in the head. That port on the picture is the injector through hole.

It may have been cleaned because the oil separator mostly spewed it all over the outside of the engine. Is there supposed to be a gasket around that thing?

I know what the picture shows friend, I've taken apart several. I still stand by my statement, it's pretty darn clean considering age. Even in the Cam area.

Got her (mostly) put back together last night. Fired it up and ooooo it sounds good. WAY quieter. Before it clacked like an International Harvester. Now it sounds like a loud VW Jetta. It really goes to show how wide spread the rocker issue is. The CRD's I test drove all sounded the same: clacky. Now I know how they should sound.

Long story short I replaced the rockers (majority were missing their needle rollers, some were missing the entire roller), camshafts (worn from the worn rockers), did the EGR delete, replaced original ceramic GP's with 7V Etecno, and cleaned all the gunk out. Oh, and I got the crud off the injector tips too.

Timing belt was easier this time around (got it on the first try!).
