Had the saddle-blanket-type covers in the old vehicles... :) any thoughts on best type of coverings for the leather seats, something that won't damage them if left on, like, 'forever'...

The Mopar (expensive) but great...they are like skin diving material and work great...great fit also. They are pretty thick so you get the added bonus of a more comfortable seat.

Don't have leather, but I put on neoprene seat covers over the fabric. They are thermaly neutral and can be washed. The only thing I found tough to locate was a set with a map pocket sewn on the back of the seats. I may be wrong, but I believe I got them at seatcovers.com. or a similar site.
