Just picked up my new 06 sport crd last weekend. I do have a couple of questions after reading the numerous posts:
1. My build date is March 3 06, what TSB's do I need.
2. Seeing how many people have the erg go bad so often, did DC fix the problem in the 06? when my warranty is up, how much for the part and to install it?
I love driving this vehicle but get alittle nervous reading all of the posts about owners having problems around 10,000 miles.

1. It appears you don't need, or qualify, for any as yours is built pretty recently. Check here and read the TSBs: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... php?t=8517

2. Unknown as to a redesign. Unknown if it needs a redesign. There is only a VERY small sample of CRD owners here of the 11,000 produced so far (maybe 1% are here as registered users). I have seen some '05 owners at 50,000 miles with no EGR or any other problems. I have looked up the EGR and it was about $230 online - don't know about installation.

Just use a CI-4 PLUS rated 5W-40 synthetic diesel motor oil as the factory 0W-40 synthetic oil is suspect (nothing proven, but does not meet CI-4 + requirements, so not as good for soot holding).

Howdy duffman1980:

Most owners have no problems. You might read the CCV posts and figure on a workaround for that little issue.

Good luck.
