Go here:

http://www.jeep.com/owners/index.html

Click on Recall Notices / Enter the last 8 numbers of your VIN and then all the open Recalls on your vehicle 'should' be listed. Think you can click on a button for the full description of any Recalls listed...

Let us know what you find out... :)

Thank you for the link. here is a copy and paste of the info on the page.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION F21
REPROGRAM BODY CONTROL MODULE
Dear: (Name)
Customer satisfaction is very important to DaimlerChrysler. Accordingly, we are recommending the
following service on some 2006 model year Jeep® Liberty vehicles.
The problem is... The software programmed into the body control module on your Liberty
(VIN: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) may cause the battery to discharge and prevent
your vehicle from starting under certain conditions.

We had the F21 performed a couple of weeks ago - on the way to the dealer, the engine light came on and they recorded several DTC's - none of which has repeated since the computer flash... :)

I called my dealer yesterday about installing the 18-023-06 tsb and he didn't want to do it because: 1) they only allow .8hrs for a reflash, this one takes roughly 1.5hrs, 2) he said if I wasn't having any problems with any of the items involved in the reflash, better leave well enough alone. He said the reflash(s) involve some very sensitive areas including the Sentry keyless entry system which if there was a problem with the reflash they might have to replace that module to get it running again. I agreed with his theory on all of this, so I left well enough alone. Guess if the TQ gernades then it is his baby....haha. :)

They did not read the TSB very well, there is 1.9 hours to complete it, and it
wipes both modules and puts the latest back on each one. I agree it is
sensitive and with some risk, but how are we going to know if we don't try
it? I am hoping to be in this vehicle for 10 years and 300K and more, so
I guess I am game for now.

Hey I like your lic. plate!! Guess that one won't be avail. for me to get...haha. Yes he was awful worried about the time involved with the re-flashes, and he said if one of them didn't take, they would have to start all over, which I can't say I blame him knowing DCX would probably stick them on the labor. Anyway, like I said I am going to stick it out for now and see what happens, plus I just got my all time mileage this morning of 24.5 mpg. Not bad for non highway driving and only 5200mi. on the ticker, plus that was hand calculated, EVIC is never right......haha. :)

I would bet that the re-flash takes little operator involvement after it starts so the tech can be doing other jobs at the same time. The concern therefore would be hogwash. What can happen is they can blow up the TCM if they do it wrong, that dealer error has been posted here a few times. If they do then the dime is probably on them for the parts and the time as it is operator error.

You got it pretty well nailed, couple of the techs at my dealer like the TSB's as they do the download then plug the vehicle into computer and go clock in on another job. I was there one day when one kid (23) did 10 of them in one day and was able to go home clean with big time turn-in day.
