The schedule says to replace the fuel/water separator unit at 25k miles. I just looked up the part (52129 237AA), and was shocked to see that it costs ~$120. Are folks following this schedule. Should the fuel filter (52129 238AA) also be replaced?

I thought the fuel/water separator was part of the fuel filter. Are you sure you looked up the right part?

Its expensive, my dealer checked on it at 25000 and said that it should go longer, so I'm glad I haven't had to replace it yet, have any of you guys do this? I was thinking about it on my 37500 service.

You only need to replace the filter as the WIF Sensor is transferred from the old filter to the new filter.

I can't remember exactly what I paid for my filter, but I thing it was about $18 at the dealer and seem's like list was $25.

That's probably the cost for the fuel filter head unit, the part the filter screws into. Dealer quoted me something like $150 first time I asked for a spare fuel filter. Asked him for the filter only and it came down to $35.
