I'm at 33,000. Has anyone beat that on their original EGR? I'll probably have mine go out after posting this. |

It's past close of business, is your EGR still functional? |

I have no idea if it is functional, I assume it is, I do not have any trouble codes and my mileage is on par. It is the original one. Mine also is a very high percent highway mileage vehicle. And mostly high speed highway. |

If you make it to 50K on it, you need to have it X-rayed, taken apart and photographed, analyzed for metal analysis, and then used as a template for the rest of us. Clearly you have something going for your egr that we don't. Mine made it an astounding 8K the first time. 2nd one made it a little longer, 12K miles. 3rd on has 2K on it and is still working. 85% highway miles. PS in every tank of fuel, name brand diesel, Shell, BP, Texaco. |

I'm at 25,025 as of today with the original EGR, EGR Cooler and EGR Flow Control Valve at 1 year of being in-service. 100% of my driving is highway. Just wish I could resolve my transmission issues. |

2003 and export model would indicate to me that your vehicle would not have the EGR components in them. Just spoke with "apollo" in South Africa, he stated that his 2004 export model which is the 110KW, 360NM model did not have the EGR components. Your 2003 model being 2.5L is spec at 110KW, 360NM. However, in the 2006 export model year the 120KW, 400NM models did carry it. By the way, is that 50,000KM or 31,000 Miles since your in Scotland? |

18k and some change, and no egr issues, but I have had 3 out of the 4 glow plugs replaced! |

I haven't had a glow plug out either, I think I am a first build, feb of 05. My transmission is fine except for the ocassional hard shift. It looks like a few have been lucky to go this far. |

I hit 30,000 miles in July before needing an EGR. Not sure what I'll do after the warranty expires. I may cough up the extra bucks for an extended warranty. May 2005 build. No problems otherwise. Using Shell Rotella 5W-40 every 8,0000 to 10,000 miles. Time for a fuel filter change soon. Getting 23mph around town (mix of hwy and city) up to 28mph on long distance trips. This beast is great. |

35,500 EGR still kickin! I've been running 100% home made Bio-D from WVO for the last 20K miles. the only thing ive had to have replaced is the Air Charge Tube due to a weak spot in the hose |

DANG! With the way these things die, you'd figure DC would just duct-tape two spare EGRs to the frame as the CRDs leave the factory. (It's too much to ask them to design something properly.) |
