I hear you loud and clear. Freightliner is switching over to the DCPS production system, including how we get parts. The running joke is that "just in time" means "just in time for the customer to install it"!

I spoke with service dept at dealer today to try and schedule an appointment for next week for the lbj and tcm recalls. The scheduler told me that the dealership receives a pack every monday containing ball joint sets. They do not know how many they are issued until the package arrives. So they can't schedule repairs until the parts are physically in the dealer. I am on the list with 10 ahead of me for the lbj. He did say "good news" about the tcm reflash: they have "plenty" of stickers to put in the engine bay as required by law. I know its not the dealer's fault, rather the morons who run the DCX parts system. Maybe Dr. Z should try running the company instead of making commercials. |

My dealer sent out the notices this Monday, mine goes in the 31 and 23 next Thursday 8 am. They said it would take about 2 hours. |
