11000 here with no problems. It's funny, if someone else owned your rig, they might be hearing all kind of strange noises, they would swear it shifts funny and needs a new tranny, the brakes are awful and need replaced, the tires are horrible and dangerous, the cac is hopelessly clogged with oil. Yep, it may have been back to the dealer 10-15 times by now. FLAME SUIT ON! |

2500 miles here on my 06. Had to have the front rotors replaced under warranty, but I think that was just from it sitting on the lot from Jan to August. No other problems yet. |

I have 7500 miles, only one small issue with a wiring harness, no other problems. Great mileage. Sometime pull a Jayco 17' travel trailer. (Pulls better than my old 2003 Dakota 4.7) Love it! |

2006 CRD LTD. IIRC, failure to get the recall taken care of can result in denial of warranty service. I had it done on mine with no problem. It's just that some of the dealers hose the TCM when they are doing the flash resulting in them having to replace the TCM. |

Well, I was just going by the build date and the date I took delivery. They had like 7 of them there...3 of which were basic limited models....they had Silver...so that is what I opted for. |

Good thread. Too much doom and gloom around here. I also have no problems so far and I really like the mileage. Mine has been a good little unit. |

6500 miles, with zero problems. Mostly on B50. Replaced the OEM Goodyears with Bridgestone REVOs immediately. Initial oil change at 1200mi, using Amsoil euro 5w 40. 23 mpg towing 2200 lb fibreglas camping trailer, over high mtn passes. Towing performance is excellent, plenty of power, and stable with a simple friction sway control and Prodigy brake controller. But - never have seen a comment anywhere about the lack of any third-gear selector! 3rd is where this motor wants to pull while towing on long, steep (10 %) grades, but if you feather the throttle the trans upshifts to 4th, can't hold the speed, downshifts, etc. And descending, it's either 2nd or 4th. Anybody know if there's a shift kit available which provides for selection of 3rd gear ? This board has been a terrific resource for me. Thanks to all! (Build date April 1, 06) |

Just getting ready to turn over 14000 miles and the only problem I have had is a slight pulsing in the brakes. This was taken care of under warranty during the 12500 service. Mine is an 06, bought in April. I run a lot of BioD and when I run dino it's either mixed with Bio or has Power Service mixed in. |

Got 40K on my 05 too , but I've had a few problems ....... EGR valve at 22K, TQ conveter at 28K and EGR again at 35K. I do love my CRD ............. I'm just gonna start looking for a Europen 6-speed when the warranty is gone and deal with the EGR my way is it dies again |
