My 2006 CRD has developed a strange problem. The MIL light (Check Engine Light) came on while driving and it stays illuminated whenever the key is on. The only problem is that when a code reader is put on to diagnose the problem, there are no error codes reporting! Without error codes, there is no way to reset them.

Has anybody else run into this problem and if so what is the cause and remedy. The dealer does not have a clue!

Looking for some help...

Bob

Maybe you need to have the F31 recall done, it is supposed to fix a problem with scanners not being able to read the codes. If you didnt get a notice in the mail you could check on jeeps website under owner services, punch in vin info and it will tell you what if anything needs done as far as recalls go.
