Just bought my first Jeep, a 2006 CRD sport and was currious as to how many were made. Also does anyone know the starting and ending vin #'s or build dates. I bought mine in Illinois, but the dealer had to go to Indiana to get it, the supply of new ones is drying up.[/b]

I don't think anyone is sure. The number that were US bound is about 11,000 or so.

Marlon may be right but it seemed to me that the number I saw for N. America (not just the US) was around 15K. Of course if you start counting the rest of the world there are lots, lots more.
