While down shifting, my transmission decided to make some banging noise when coming to a stop. Bad enough that I thought someone hit me the first time. It did this four or five times at every stop light then the check engine light came on. Guess what, it runs perfect no shut off or limp mode and my city mileage has increased to >23 mpgs since. ??? The CEL is still on, and haven't checked the trans fluid since I bought it... but no leaks. I guess it's Halloween trick or trans for me. I'll post whatever the dealer has to say. Anybody see something similar?

Thanks

Anybody rides a Hayabusa can put any amount of air in tyres they want. Imagine my surprise when I saw that those worthless Goodyear rags can actually hold 42 lbs of air. However, since he is a desert crawler, perhaps that's 42 lbs total.

After a few days the light went out... still good mpgs. There has to be two or more problems before I go to the dealer. Only one with the lower ball joint recall. The fluid is at the high mark, so I'll keep on driving. Here's my bike in flagstaff last year (thats July ninth). Max pressure is 45psi written on the side wall, raised it in accordance with old navy's bag of tricks. This is the best mod for mpgs. Being a former mariner, I always trust a mariner.

A "spoat" is a lot like a "flare", as in a booquet of flares. ('')

I was slow to pick up that NC dialect. Thanks for the clarification.
