 Post subject: Transmission Shudder / Thump around 55mph

My CRD has 10K miles on it. Lately I've noticed the transmission making what I can best describe as a shudder or thump around 50 or 55MPH. I'm no expert, but I suspect it has something to do with the torque converter. I've had the TSB reflash done. This has only happened about 3 or 4 times, but I never noticed it until now.

Any suggestions? Do I have a transmission problem?

Which reflash was done to yours/how long ago?

Just got mine back 2 days ago from getting the F31 recall done and it shifts much smoother now.

I don't know which one was done - it was done in May 2006. Is there an updated reflash?

They just did the F31 on mine this week when it got towed in for the BCM flash and related battery failure. Mine is shifting much better but still occasionally does a "hammer shift" I am going to have them look at it when I take it in for service just to keep the datastream flowing.

Yes, the most recent TSB is from 7/14/2006. There is a thread on this forum about it. Just look for 7/14 TSB.

The TSB number is 18-023-06 IIRC.
