| Post subject: | OME responds to sagging |
This is my first posting on this forum , having enjoyed many hours of reading various topics which appear to affect all of us KJ owners worldwide. I do a lot of sand dune driving over here and having wrecked my stock bumper within weeks of purchasing my vehicle decided to go the lift and ARB bumper route. The inevitable sagging occured on the front end which I lived with for some time. Recently I mailed OME direct in Australia highlighting these problems and was pleasantly surprised by the quick response received. They are aware of the problem and apparently are working on a new HD spring for the CRD . I received a lengthy tech report from them in which they informed me that they are trying out a new material that will hopefully strenghthen the coil but are having issues regarding gauge and clearance factors. They have offered to replace my coils under warranty if and when these new coils become available . In the meantime I have installed front top spacers to bring my ride height back to level . So far they perform without problem and have taken some heavy knocks over dunes. I thought this may interest some of you out there . Great forum. |

That is very interesting, and good news. Perhaps I will wait a little longer on the lift. |
