Post subject:  Towing Mirrors

My trailer is going to hang out 8-10 inches on either side of my KJ. Will I need towing mirrors?
If so what kind have you had experience with and where do I find them? I can find all kinds of
them that slide over older Cherokee mirrors and look great, but nothing specific to the Liberty.

I think you'll want to have mirrors for that width. I haven't seen any slip on ones like you describe, but U-Haul sells a universal set that clips onto your mirror frame. Kind of hokey but they work. They do viberate a bit though.

I did see a post a long while back where someone had refitted a set of dodge Ram towing mirrors, but thats a lot to go through if you are only towing once or twice.

I towed with my 03 Liberty and mirrors are the one thing I could not find anything, except
a universal one with rubber straps that clipped and tied on. Good luck will have to find some
for myself later this winter also.

Didn't someone a year or so ago adapt a Dakota towing mirror the his Lib?
I think he pretty much just had to add the longer mirrors and stalks to his mounts.

Those will work, very close to what I found for my 03, rubberized straps for mounting.

Best towing mirror on the road is the McKesh. I have them for my GC and they work great. Not Cheap but worth the money.
